Dubai: Private sector companies and banks will remain closed during the first and second days of Eid, it was announced yesterday.

Banks will reopen on the third day of Eid, under a decision by the board of directors of the Central Bank, signed by Sultan Bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, governor of the bank. The first day of Eid could be on October 22 or 23, depending on the sighting of the moon.
